The Gallagher Smart Scale Indicator range is now the most advanced on the market, with a strengthened robust design, backlit screens, Bluetooth wireless connections and a host of extra features to make weighing sessions hassle free. In addition, we have our new entry level EID Weigh Scale indicators, the W-0 and W-1, as well as the TW-1 and TW-3 and the TWR-1 and TWR-5 which have a built-in EID reader, thus ensuring we have the right solution for your farm.

The SMARTScale range of Indicators is simple, tough, innovative, reliable and provides consistently accurate readings. Our scales are 99% accurate - we allow a 1% error margin for the movement of the animal on the scale. The Indicator housing is "dust & water proof", UV stabilised and has an internal battery which gives hours of weighing before recharging is necessary. The scales can work from 220V power source as well as a 12V power source and have a large digital display which is easy to read from a distance of about 5 - 6m.

The indicator measures the weight in the following increments:

0 - 50kg		100g increments (fine mode setting)
0 - 50kg		200g increments (other settings)
50 - 200kg		500g increments
200 - 500kg		1kg increments
500 - 2000kg		2kg increments

Weigh Scale & Data Collector TW-3

In addition to the standard TW-1 features above, the TW-3 capabilities are as follows:

Record weight, life data and traits - Ideally suited to farmers wanting to record and review more information than simply weight on their animals. The TW-3 can record up to 3 traits per session.
Draft up to 9 groups by weight or recorded data - You can now draft on recorded animal data, e.g. pregnancy scanning in sheep, wet/dry in cattle or by owner in the case of a grazer with animals from multiple owners.
Animal data analysis on device - Shows individual weight gain graphs and weight distribution plots for all animals within a weighing session.
You can move sessions from the scale to APS
Please note the TW-3 is supplied with APS Standard.

TWR-1 Weigh Scale & Data Collector & Reader - the scale that reads tags

In addition to the standard TW-1 and TW-3 features above, the TWR-3 capabilities are as follows:

Integrated EID reader for hands-free EID reading. Farmer can plug the indicator straight in to an EID antenna to record weights and easily scan EID tags. This eliminates the need to purchase an EID reader. * Antenna panel sold separately.

TWR-5 Weigh Scale & Data Collector & Reader

In addition to the standard TW-1 and TW-3 & TWR-1 features above, the TWR-5 capabilities are as follows:

Comprehensive recording of life data and traits for farmers wanting to record and review more information than simply weight on their animals:
Record up to 9 life data and traits per session.
Drafting by life data or traits only on TWR-5
Record treatments on the spot - Animals can be weighed and administered the correct dose rate and this information can be recorded on the weigh scale at the time of treatment and connected to the animals EID
You can move sessions from the scale to APS
Please note that the TWR-5 is supplied with APS Standard.
The TWR-1 and TWR-5 require an antenna panel which is sold separately.

Weigh Beams for all Indicators

Indicators are sold with a set of SMARTSCALE weigh beams, which are available in 600mm and 1000mm lengths weighing up to 2 ton. The beams are positioned on the ground under a suitable platform. For heavy crates/crushes, we recommend the overhead mounting of the 1000mm weigh beams. This ensures they are kept clean, take less strain and are less likely to have damaged cables/plugs.

We also have 1000mm Heavy Duty weigh beams available for use under or on top of heavy crates weighing up to 5 ton.

Animal Performance Software (APS)

Simply the best weigh scale/reader integrated farm management software available and with recent enhancements the software now offers a more intuitive and easy to use interface.

This new software platform requires a once off registration process based on the serial number of the Gallagher hardware.

There are three levels of functionality available:

APS Every Day: (App Free)
- Included with TW-1, TW-3, TWR-1, TWR-5, and HR4, HR5 hand held EID readers.
- APS Every Day provides analysis by session and basic reporting functionality - records your animals EID & VID tags, keeps track of animals, import sessions from your devices, powerful animal analytics, create draft lists to organise your weigh sessions, blue tooth & wireless device connection, access data your practically anywhere, sync & update devices from your app.
APS Plus & AP Pro available for a monthly fee - extra features plus cloud based data storage.

EID TAGS AND READERS

RE-USABLE TAGS

The tags supplied are compatible with ISO 11784 and 11785 (International Standards for Electronic Livestock ID).

Retention

The tags are supplied with a male button tag, which is the same diameter as the female electronic tag - the larger the tag, the greater the risk the tag will catch on something. Therefore the risk of loss rate will increase with the tag size.

A button tag (such as the EID tag) will have a loss rate of less than 0.1%. (A larger panel tag could be as high as 3%). Other factors influencing retention are:

Correct application and location in the ear
Conditions of farm and grazing environment

An 'applicator' for fitting of the tags, is available

HR 4 Hand Held EID Tag Reader and DataCollector

In addition to the standard TW-1 and TW-3 & TWR-1 features above, the TWR-5 capabilities are as follows:

Large easy to read display (indoors & out) clearly shows visual and EID tag numbers to confirm the correct animal's information collecting data, using pre-defined traits.
Choose multiple traits to record against each animal such as breed, sex, condition score and pregnancy status.
Make drafting decisions in the yard. Pre-defined sort groups are assigned a colour to quickly identify the animal you are looking for.
Please note the HR 4 is supplied with APS Standard software.

HR5 Hand Held EID Tag Reader and Data Collector

An incredibly powerful portable data collection and editing device enabling users to record, edit and customise data anywhere on the farm.

Large easy to read display (indoors & out) clearly shows visual and EID tag numbers to confirm the correct animal's information.
Collect data not just EID numbers - unique "phone style" keypad for adding and editing data in the yard.
Add Visual ID's to identify and record information against an animal e.g. replacing a lost EID tag number.
Enter numeric, text, date and pick-list type traits e.g. breed, sex, condition score, pregnancy status or free typing in 'lame' or 'loose'.
Animal notes can be set to appear when the animal is next scanned.

Antenna Panel 6M RDR 600 x 400mm

These are mounted on the side of a cattle/sheep race and allow you to automate your operation i.e.as the animal enters the race, the EID tag will automatically be scanned.

The ID number appears on the scale indicator and the weight is automatically captured, then the animal leaves the crush/crate.

These are used with the TWR-1 and TWR-5 indicators.
